About Re/ Artists Collective
Re/ Artists Collective champions predominantly female, marginalised, and underrepresented artists – with charity at the core. Our aim is to curate career-launching exhibitions for artists, whilst contributing to charity through ticket sales, fundraising, and a portion of artwork sales (at the artist’s discretion).
Why ‘Re/’?
The name Re/ lends itself to thematic prompts for every exhibition. Think Re/birth, Re/generation, Re/creation, Re/purpose, Re/cycle, Re/use, Re/live, and so much more. We curate thoughtful exhibitions that give artists the opportunity to stretch their skills and create bodies of work that contribute meaningfully to social commentary.
How Re/ supports charities
We partner with a different charity for each exhibition, raising funds through ticket sales and donations. Artists may also choose to donate a portion of artwork sales to our charity partners. It’s entirely up to you!
What’s in it for the artists?
Re/ Artists Collective offers a platform for artists to showcase their talents, network with art professionals, make a living, and contribute to the community through charity alignment. We support female, marginalised, and underrepresented artists in all creative remits – from painters to sculptors to photographers to jewellery artists. Local economies will be bolstered through gallery space hire, catering, logistics, installation, and bringing visitors to the area to appreciate
the arts.
How do artists join the Collective?
Re/ Artists Collective holds regular exhibitions of between 15-20 artists. We put call-outs on our website and Instagram for artists in certain areas to submit a body of work they believe suits the theme for that exhibition. We also keep a database of artists who contact us to express their interest in exhibiting, curating exhibitions that suit the artists’ subject matter, style, and ethos. Artists then pay a flat fee of $500 in two instalments of $250, which covers:
